“Food Labelling—know what you eat and where it comes from!”

MEPs support “Ensuring Food Quality,” a report advocating for food labelling that states the origin of the product and where it is processed. Consumers deserve to know what they are eating and where it came from, particularly when significant amounts of food are currently produced in one location and then processed and packaged in another. In addition to clarifying where a product originates, labels must include the place of origin of the main ingredients and raw materials.
