Patients Association survey reveals a lack of malnutrition screening

The malnutrition survey undertaken by the Patients Association, covered 5,000 patients in England, Wales and Scotland and revealed that two out of three patients were not being checked for signs of malnutrition. Care homes and hospitals should be following National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) screening guidelines for malnutrition, but the study revealed that is not happening as often as it should.
