New iPhone app for malnutrition screening
BAPEN launch new technology to improve patient nutrition
Date: 11 July 2011
BAPEN, the British Clinical Nutrition association, has announced the launch of an i-phone application for MUST, the malnutrition universal screening tool which provides a validated way to assess malnutrition. The MUST i-phone app provides clinicians and other healthcare professionals with a quick and accurate way to screen patients for malnutrition and calculate their MUST risk scores in clinical, care home and community settings. BAPEN also hope that the i-phone app will help spread the use of MUST further and thus help contribute to BAPEN’s top priority of making malnutrition easier and quicker to screen for.
Professor Marinos Elia, Chair of BAPEN’s Malnutrition Action Group explains the MUST i-phone app in this video clip.
