ENHA has joined together with colleagues from the EU patient organisations EPF and EGAN

On 12th April 2012, ENHA joined together with colleagues from the EU patient organisations EPF and EGAN to form a Memorandum of Understanding and a commitment to develop future work together. The overall aim is the develop greater understanding among patient groups of the role good nutrition and nutritional care have to play in ensuring good health and well being for patients. Plans include conferences and events aimed at highlighting the issue as well as identifying and involving expert patients from across Europe on specific topics.

ENHA have released a report presenting an overview of the first Optimal Nutritional Care for All conference. It outlines the ambition of the conference and the commitment signed by all attendees to meet the challenge of undernutrition.

Around 80 multi-disciplinary top experts from across eight European countries have signed a Charter for Optimal Nutritional Care to commit to end disease-related malnutrition and provide optimal nutritional care for patients in all healthcare settings, including hospitals, care homes and in home care.
